Setting up a mobile home with reliable power isn't as simple as just plugging in. You need the right service size, proper underground wiring, a meter base that meets code, and - most importantly - a licensed electrician who actually pulls permits and sees the job through inspection. That's exactly what we did on this one in Shepherd, Texas.

We installed a 200 amp underground service from the utility point to the home. That 200 amp capacity gives the homeowner plenty of room to run appliances, HVAC, and anything else without overloading the system. Underground service keeps things clean and protected compared to overhead lines, and it's the right call for a permanent setup like this.

Permits were pulled before we touched anything. Inspection was passed when we were done. We know some guys skip that step to save time or money, but that's not how we operate. Permitted work protects the homeowner when it comes to insurance, resale, and just knowing the job was done to code.

This is the kind of new construction wiring work we do regularly across the area. Whether it's a mobile home, a site-built house, or a new outbuilding, getting the electrical foundation right from the start matters. Cutting corners on the service entrance is the kind of thing that creates headaches - and hazards - for years down the road. We're not interested in doing it that way.
